A standout athlete in football, basketball, and track, Brian received ten letter awards for Grand Forks Central. The All-Conference and Shrine Bowl football player also started in basketball for two seasons, and participated in four state track meets, placing in two.  Upon graduation, Brian enrolled at UND on a football scholarship, where he played wide receiver and defensive back.

In looking back on his years at GFC, Brian fondly recalls the great friends he made and the pride he felt wearing the Central uniform.  Hard work, humility, and having a positive attitude were traits that he learned from his teachers and coaches.

A successful businessman in Grand Forks, Brian has this advice for current GFC students, “Have no regrets!  When you look in the mirror at the end of the day, know that you did everything in your power to be the best you could be.”

Brian and his wife Mary are the parents of three children, Adam, Eric, and Claire.
