A standout track athlete, Chuck won the state championship in the 400m dash as a junior and senior while also winning the 200m dash his senior year.  He is still the school record holder in the 200m & 400m dashes, records that have stood for over 30 years.  Chuck also had three runner up and two other placings at state from his sophomore through senior seasons.  He was all-conference in track in 1981, 1982 & 1983.  In addition, he was Honorable Mention National High School Track All-American in 1982 & 1983.  Chuck was also a three year participant on the football team.

In looking back, Chuck’s fondest memory was winning the 400m as a junior.  He really appreciated Coach Pat Sullivan. “Coach Sullivan was able to get us to push ourselves.”

Chuck currently resides in Manvel, ND and is a CNC operator at Retrax in Grand Forks.
